JOE RUBERTO
has been an entertainer since the age of 13 playing the piano and the
piano accordion. He has performed on
television
and in concerts throughout Australia and overseas. It
was at an early age that he won numerous competitions including Network
Ten's Showcase and Channel
Nine's New Faces and recorded
a number of very successful albums for
WNG Records.
He has various overseas performances to his credit none more memorable
than the 1996 concert in Japan
with the Theatreworks Company.
As musical director, he regularly accompanies local and international
acts and can be seen frequently playing piano at the noted jazz venue
Bennetts Lane and other high profile Melbourne Clubs and Hotels. Joe has
performed for the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, New Caledonia
Music Festival, Apollo Bay Music Festival, Wangaratta Jazz Festival and
is a regular at the Noosa Jazz festival. He has also performed on the
cruise ship “The World”. Joe’s formal qualifications include a B.Sc.,
Dip. Ed.
(Monash University) and a Graduate Diploma of Music (La Trobe
University).
