What is a House Concert:
A House Concert is a musical performance in a private
home. It allows the audience to listen to live music in a more informal and
intimate atmosphere. Light
refreshments such as wine and cheese are usually provided and there is the
opportunity for performers and audience to meet and talk during the break or
after the performance.
The host is responsible for inviting the guests. A room
is required that can seat a minimum of 30 or more people. The suggested
ticket* price is $ 25.00 per guest, with $ 2.00 per person going towards the
refreshment costs if required and the balance to the performers.
Alternatively, you may wish to provide food and drink, or ask your guests to
BYO. In this case, the performers - Ruby and a band of any size
- can be engaged for a
set fee.
A House concert is a unique and intimate way to
experience a musical performance and provides the opportunity for friends to
get together.
