CHERYL CLARK is an accomplished musician who specialises on saxophone, oboe, flute and clarinet. A regular member of the leading Big Bands in Melbourne, including the Australian Showband and the Moovin’ and Groovin Orchestra, Cheryl has toured nationally with international acts including Ray Charles and Jerry Lewis.  Cheryl also has performance credits with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Pops Orchestra and the Victorian State Orchestra.

A versatile performer, Cheryl’s musical activities include numerous television appearances, musicals, and commercial recording sessions including movie soundtracks and compact disc releases.

Cheryl is co-author of three contemporary music books, Creative Saxophone, Creative Saxophone Duets and Creative Saxophone Improvising, all of which are published by Oxford University Press (UK) and currently distributed throughout the United Kingdom, America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. 

In 1990 Cheryl earned her Bachelor of Education, with a double major in music, from the University of Melbourne.  In addition to her position as Head of Woodwind at Melbourne Girls Grammar, Cheryl also teaches music at Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE, Australia’s largest provider contemporary music education.
